Schneider Electric MTN6355‑0019 – KNX presence detector for corridors (Corridor Detector)
The Schneider Electric MTN6355‑0019 is an intelligent KNX presence detector specifically designed for use in hallways and corridors . It combines motion detection, brightness sensing, and light control in a compact device for ceiling or surface mounting.
With its 360° detection capability and a range of up to 10 m frontally and 2 m laterally, the sensor is ideal for lighting and climate automation in long, linear spaces. The integrated constant light control allows the lighting to be adjusted to the available daylight, thus saving energy.
Technical features:
– Compatible with the KNX bus system (supply via KNX cable)
– Mounting on the ceiling or surface (housing dimensions approx. 120 × 78 mm)
– Detection range: up to 10 m frontal, 2 m lateral, 360° all-round surveillance
– PIR technology (passive infrared) with creep zone to detect even the smallest movements
– Integrated brightness sensor for daylight-dependent control
– Up to four channels (e.g. for separate control of lighting and ventilation)
– Adjustable parameters: follow-up time, brightness thresholds, light level, sensitivity
– Teach-in function for automatic calibration
– Recommended installation height: approx. 2.5–3.0 m
– Robust housing with protection class IP54 (dust and splash-proof)
– Surface made of durable, easy-to-clean thermoplastic
– Color: glossy white
Features and benefits:
– Precise presence detection for long corridors, hallways and traffic areas
– Energy savings through automatic lighting control depending on presence and daylight
– Flexible use thanks to four switching outputs – e.g. separate control of main and secondary light
– Easy integration into existing KNX building management systems
– Unobtrusive, modern design suitable for public and commercial environments
– Reduces unnecessary power consumption and increases comfort and safety
Typical areas of application:
– Office and administration buildings
– Hotels and residential complexes
– Schools, clinics and care facilities
– Underground car parks, staircases, connecting corridors
– Public facilities and corridors with changing uses
